Back-to-back veggie videos: Processed People and Supercharge Me!
Processed People (40 min, 2009)
Fast food, fast medicine, fast news and fast lives have turned many Americans into a sick, uninformed, indebted, “processed” people.
Tragically, many North Americans are victims of a "health care" system and way of life which are devastating to our overall well-being. To those running our system, the bottom line on the dollars we're able to spend is more important than the bottom line on our health.
Processed People features insightful interviews from nine preeminent health and environmental experts/advocates. They discuss how and why Americans got into this mess, and what we can do to break the “processed people” cycle.
Celebrate World Vegetarian Awareness Month!
Food Matters is a hard hitting, fast paced look at our current state of health. Despite the billions of dollars of funding and research into new so-called cures we continue to suffer from a raft of chronic ills and every day maladies. Patching up an over-toxic and over-indulgent population with a host of toxic therapies and nutrient sparse foods is de?nitely not helping the situation.
The Vegetarians of Alberta Association kicks off World Vegetarian Awareness Month with an exciting guest speaker:
Brenda Davis, RD
Brenda Davis, registered dietitian and nutritionist, is a leader in her field and an internationally acclaimed speaker. She has worked as a public health nutritionist, clinical nutrition specialist, nutrition consultant, academic nutrition instructor and co-author of six books:

Becoming Vegetarian
The New Becoming Vegetarian
Defeating Diabetes
Dairy-free and Delicious
In July 2007, she was inducted into the Vegetarian Hall of Fame!
