Take the Meat-Out Challenge for the month of March! Participants are asked to kick the meat habit and explore a wholesome, nonviolent diet of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
The purpose of Meat-Out Month is to expose the public to the joys and benefits of a plant-based diet, while promoting the availability and selection alternatives to meat and dairy in mainstream grocery stores, restaurants, and catering operations.
Meat-Out was launched in 1985 and is coordinated each year by FARM (Farm Animal Rights Movement), a national nonprofit, public interest organization that advocates plant-based (vegan) diets to save animals, protect the environment, and improve health.
Meat-Out Month is also associated with Meat-Out Mondays, which encourages a weekly meat-free day.
